The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted the All India Engineering/ Architecture Entrance Exam (AIEEE) 2012 Online and Offline examinations on 7th, 12th, 19th, 26th May and 29 April respectively for getting admission into various reputed engineering colleges including National Institute of Technology, National Institutes of Information Technology, State engineering colleges and other government and private colleges.
This year, 11,37,256 candidates registered for Paper-I for B.E./B.Tech, out of which 10,61,854 candidates appeared and for Paper-ll for B.Arch/B.Planning 83,049 candidates registered out of which 71,316 candidates appeared.
Following are the marks required in eligible to fill in the choices for online counselling for both exams B.E/B.Tech. and B.Arch/B.Planning:
- General category = 48 marks
- OBC category = 45 marks
- SC/ST category = 18 marks
- Physically Handicapped = 18 marks
